Privacy notice

Short version: we keep your email to send you an invite. Nothing else, nobody else.

Who we are

Afterthis is an early-stage app being built in India by Trigger (the “data fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).

Contact for anything about your data: hello@afterthis.app.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
  • The time you joined, which form you used (top or bottom of the page), which of our web addresses you were on, and the country your connection comes from.

The site is served by Cloudflare, so Cloudflare sees your device’s IP address as part of normal web traffic. Before saving your email, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you’re a person and not a bot; it does not use advertising cookies. Cloudflare also counts visits without cookies.

Cookies

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and join. They set analytics cookies only if you tap Accept in the cookie bar. If you decline, Google gets only basic, cookieless signals. We never use advertising cookies.

Why

To email you when your invite is ready, and now and then to ask a short question about what you’d want from the app. You give consent by joining; you can withdraw it at any time.

Where it is kept

In a Cloudflare D1 database, kept in Cloudflare’s Asia-Pacific region. We store your email, the form and web address you used, the time, and the country Cloudflare guesses from your connection (not your IP address). Nobody can read the list from the website; only we can, from our admin account.

When you join, Cloudflare also sends us one email with your address so we know someone signed up. That email sits in our own inbox.

How long

Until you ask us to delete it, or 12 months after the app launches publicly, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@afterthis.app. We reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Never

We never sell your data, share it for advertising, or let anyone pay to be shown to you.
